My approach:
Here are some key principles that are particularly important to me in my work in sex therapy:

-
Education: in the field of sexuality, somatic and psychological dimensions are closely interconnected. As a physician, I place great importance on clearly explaining the origins and consequences of sexual dysfunctions from an anatomical and functional perspective.

-
Holistic care: the sexual difficulties that lead to consultation may occur within a broader context, including anxiety, emotional distress, or relationship difficulties. As a psychotherapist, I also address these dimensions.

-
Non-judgment and compassion: it is important to me that you feel safe, heard, and respected. I am committed to providing a secure environment, in full respect of professional confidentiality.

What to expect in Sex Therapy with me?:
-
During the first consultation, either individual or as a couple, we carry out a comprehensive assessment of your concerns from somatic, psychological, and relational perspectives.

-
If I consider it necessary, I may recommend additional medical investigations with another healthcare professional (general practitioner, gynecologist, or andrologist) in order to rule out or treat any underlying medical condition that may be causing or contributing to your difficulties.

-
I then support you throughout the therapeutic process, working towards the resolution of your concerns. This is generally a brief, focused intervention over time.
My training
-
I complemented my medical training as a General Practitioner with a Master's degree (Italy) in Clinical Sexology and Couples Counseling.

-
In addition, I completed a specialized training module, “CBT Tools for Sexual Functioning”, in Paris with the AFTCC (French Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy).

-
I am a member of S.I.S.E.S. (Italian Society of Sexology and Sexual Education), reflecting my ongoing commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice in the field of sexual health and relationship counseling.
