Couples Therapy
Is your relationship a source of tension or misunderstanding?
It may be helpful to take time to explore these difficulties with the support of a neutral third party.
Couples therapy aims to improve communication, deepen understanding of relational dynamics, and support healthier and more adaptive ways of interacting.

Is your relationship going through a crisis?
Couples therapy provides a structured and safe space to understand relational dynamics, develop new ways of interacting, and restore a more satisfying relational balance.
It typically follows a process in three key stages.
1
Starting Point
-
Assessment of the couple’s request
-
Evaluation of the couple’s functioning
-
Definition of shared therapeutic goals agreed upon by both partners
2
Therapeutic Journey
-
Work on a better understanding of the couple’s dynamics
-
Implementation of appropriate therapeutic tools
-
Practice and development of new skills
3
Outcome
-
Assessment and exploration of each partner's expectations
-
Building a stronger and more lasting relationship
-
Guidance in considering a possible separation
Couples therapy goals:
-
Improve understanding of each partner’s functioning
-
Restore functional communication
-
Regulate emotions and ease conflicts
-
Clarify and adjust the “couple agreement”
-
Support decision-making
My approach
Here are some principles that are particularly important to me when working with couples:
-
Non-judgment and compassion: it is important to me that you feel safe, heard, and respected. I am committed to providing a secure environment, in full respect of professional confidentiality.
-
Partnership: I am neither a judge nor an arbitrator. My role as a therapist is to offer a different perspective on what you are experiencing as a couple and to provide the tools needed for change. We move forward at your own pace and in line with your goals.
-
Support: throughout the therapy, I actively support you in observing and understanding your relational patterns, as well as in implementing the necessary changes. You are no longer alone in facing your difficulties.
-
Transparency: we set clear goals at the beginning of therapy and review them regularly to ensure a shared understanding of where we are in the process.
How it works in practice:
-
I always see both partners together, either in my office or online.
-
Sessions last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Their frequency varies, most often every 2 to 3 weeks. -
I will suggest experiential exercises or “homework” to be carried out between sessions, in order to concretely support changes within your relationship.
